A Honda battery is a rechargeable battery that provides electrical energy to your auto.It is also known as an SLI battery (abbreviation of starting-lighting-ignition) and its main purpose is to start the Honda engine.
Once the engine is running, the alternator supplies power for the Honda.
Usually, starting discharges less than three per cent of the battery capacity. SLI batteries are made to discharge a high outburst of current, measured in amperes, and then be quickly recharged.
They are not designed for deep discharge, and a full discharge can reduce the battery’s lifespan.
